How We Do It - Manufacturing LuisLynzie™ Woodwork

Wood is a natural, organic material. Seasonal growth patterns and environmental conditions contribute to the uniqueness of the grain and color in each piece of lumber cut from a tree. These conditions also add the swirls, burls, mineral streaking, fine pinholes, pitch pockets and color streaks that you find in the wood of all fine millwork, cabinetry and furniture.

Our wainscoting, columns and ceiling beams are constructed from carefully selected hardwoods. Solid wood parts may be comprised of a single board or multiple edge-glued boards. A lot of pride is taken in matching boards for uniform color and grain pattern.

Subtle variations and idiosyncratic combinations of inherent attributes give your architectural woodwork character. We encourage you to enjoy the natural beauty of solid wood and appreciate the eccentric characteristics that give woodwork personality.

WIth the exception of furniture-grade veneered plywood used for the recessed panels, all components of the columns, wainscoting and ceiling beams are solid wood; we do not use finger-jointed engineered boards.
